Louis Deitelbaum
After the original Washington (Wiz) franchise faltered the team was moved to Dayton. A search for a suitable owner led the league’s founders to Louis Deitelbaum, a Chicago insurance executive.
Deitelbaum got the Rockettes moving forward yet several months later his financial ability caused him to turn the team back over to the league.
